Crew Jr (infant-preschool)

Infants (at all services on Sunday mornings)

We transition ECC’s youngest ones (0-12 months) from your loving arms to ours, introducing the church as a safe place to laugh, cry, and grow.

At this developmental stage (13-23 months), we introduce kids to God’s Story and let them experience it hands-on through a highly interactive curriculum.

3 year olds.JPG2’s , 3’s, and 4’s/5’s (at all services on Sunday mornings)

As kids are introduced to more of the Story God tells through the Bible and each of our individual lives, they are encouraged to explore who He is and what He’s done, and to engage in relationships that show His love. As they grow in their understanding of community, we want to help them treat others the way they want to be treated.

Camp Preo (early summer)

Camp Preo is an all-week event for kids age 4 through those entering 2nd grade. We have a summer daycamp that can’t be missed! It’s packed with amazing, memory-sealing stuff and is one of our summer highlights. You can check out our website at www.ecccamps.com. HuddlesHuddles (9:30 a.m.)

Huddles are small group communities that meet each Sunday during the first service. Our focus is to learn how Jesus’ story is a part of our daily lives through carefully chosen curriculum that includes digging into God’s Word, hands-on activities, Bible verse memory, and prayer time. It is a place for relationships to happen, because we want kids to understand the importance of community in walking through their life with God. The last Sunday of each month, Huddles groups work on a community outreach project or activity, that might include writing letters to our missionaries we support, working in the church community garden, or making a card to send to those who need encouragement. Classes are made up of kindergarteners (Rm 22), 1st/2nd graders (Rm 23), 3rd/4th/5th grade girls (Rm 4), and 3rd/4th/5th grade boys (Children’s Center).

Underground (11 a.m.)

Underground is a worship service for children. We begin in the Sanctuary for musical worship before returning to our room for story, drama, music, other worship activities, and brief time in small groups. Our primary goal is to help children see the Bible as one Big Story–the story of God’s plan for us–and help them figure out where their own story fits in. Underground meets in the Children’s Center.

Crew Events (once a semester)

Crew Events are awesome events that take place outside of church at least once a semester. In the fall we do a service project, such as meeting at a local food bank to sort food. We do a yearly Caroling and Cocoa event in early December, where we travel around the community together to sing and encourage those in our church and in nursing homes.  Also in December we have a Children’s Christmas Program–the kids sing songs, do a short drama or reading of verses, all in front of the church; practices begin in November. We have The Thing in the spring, a fun event where children get together just to have fun and build community. Contact the church or Abra Clampitt for these dates.

Want to Get Involved and Volunteer?

We are always looking for help, from playing with the infants to reading a Bible story to the toddlers, all the way to teaching a Huddles class or helping put together a worship program in Underground. These programs run because of the volunteers that have a desire to serve. On any given Sunday, at least 40 volunteers are needed! If you would like to get involved and volunteer, please contact Abra Clampitt aaclampitt@gmail.com.
